Production instruction for the driver of pumping units. Pumping unit operator

The driver of technological pumps is a very important and necessary profession. All features of this work will be discussed in this article.

Who is a process pump operator?

The specialist, which will be discussed in this article, is engaged in the maintenance of special equipment for pipelines. It does not matter what it may be or vaporous, intended for liquid substances or for gaseous ones. In order for certain substances to circulate, it is necessary to maintain, repair and constantly check the existing equipment. This is exactly what the representative of the profession in question does.

And what can be said about the demand for the profession? Since most enterprises in the CIS countries operate using internal communications operating under a certain pressure, the work of a process pump driver will remain in demand and necessary in the labor market for a long time to come.

About professional responsibilities

The engineer of process pumps, like any other employee, has many duties, tasks and functions.

Here are the most basic of those that can be called:

  • Timely repair of elements elimination of problems and malfunctions.
  • Ensuring optimal transport of substances through the pipeline.
  • Inspection and repair of pump units.
  • Work with pumping units - their adjustment.
  • Training liquid fuel to transportation.
  • Work with liquid substances - their discharge and pumping.
  • Work with reports.
  • Carrying out technical inspection according to the plan.
  • Adjustment of pressure in pipelines.

It has, of course, a process pump driver and many other functions. But it depends on the level of the specialist.

Required education for work

A representative of the profession in question, of course, could not work without proper education. Almost anyone today can enter a college or technical school with a degree in process pumps and compressors. And what knowledge and skills are needed to work in the specialty in question? Here are just a few things an employee should be aware of:

  • The principle of operation and the device of automation.
  • Design features of compressor equipment.
  • Equipment setup.
  • Actions in case of accidents.
  • Start of pipeline transportation.
  • Shutoff valve design.
  • Pressure regulation.
  • Protective units - their device.
  • The use of control devices, the basics of their operation.

The above are just a few of the points that will need to be learned during the training. It is also worth noting that in a college or technical school you will have to master the following subjects:

  • Materials Science;
  • drawing;
  • electrical engineering;
  • technical mechanics;
  • basics of transportation of substances and some others.

Thus, it will not be possible to just take a job in the specialty "technological pump operator". Education is a necessary and essential part of the profession.

On the demand for the profession

Young people who have graduated educational institution in the required specialty, they are unlikely to be able to get into a difficult situation with finding a job.

The profession "technological pump operator" is in high demand today. Those who wish to work in the specialty under consideration will easily find the optimal one. After all, almost any enterprise that has and operates pipelines needs competent, educated specialists.

It is worth noting that the profession in question is not suitable for everyone. In the workplace, it is unlikely that physically weak people will feel comfortable and confident, weak people. After all, the work in question is truly masculine, to some extent difficult and difficult. But it is offset by excellent career opportunities and a good

About the second category according to the job description

Workers of the second category are, as a rule, beginners who are just beginning to master all the subtleties of the profession. What are the responsibilities of these professionals?

A worker of the second category is obliged to serve as well as installations that pump or prepare oil. Preparation of technological piping schemes, elimination of product leakage (under the guidance of a worker with a higher category) - all this is also within the competence of the worker. It is necessary, among other things, to constantly monitor the operation of pumps, cooling systems, lubrication, ventilation, etc. Control over the serviceability of various valves, measuring instruments, pipelines also falls on a second-class specialist.

Some other features worth mentioning are:

  • taking specific samples;
  • check valves, as well as their closing and opening;
  • wiping, starting and stopping pumping units;
  • change of pads.

Naturally, far from all the functions of the working second category were named above. After all, duties and their number depend on the enterprise in which professional activities are carried out.

About the third category according to the job description

A worker with the third category is obliged to carry out constant checks of pumping stations, to service them (we are talking about stations that pump and prepare oil products with a capacity of 500 cubic meters / h).

This also includes the inspection and repair of electric motors (from 500 kW), as well as the maintenance of technological pumping units (no more than 1000 cubic meters / h).

However, this is not all duties. The instruction of the driver of technological pumps prescribes the following functions for a specialist of the third category:

  • Monitoring the load of electric motors, pressure in pipes and pumps, lubrication systems, ventilation and cooling systems, etc. All observations are carried out using instrumentation.
  • Working with electric motors: starting and stopping them.
  • Checking the correct amount of lubricant in certain devices.
  • Checking the mode of operation of equipment.

About the fourth category according to the job description

What functions does the job description assign to a representative of the fourth category? What are the duties of a process pump operator here?

The shift accepted by the worker with the fourth category looks something like this: the specialist keeps all the necessary entries in the journal. Next, the following areas are cared for:

drives of contactors of alkylation units;

  • pumping stations (from 500 to 1 thousand cubic meters per hour);
  • pumping technological installations (capacity - from 1 thousand to 3 thousand cubic meters / h);
  • areas with pumping motors (power from 500 to 3 thousand kW).

In addition, the specialist is obliged to monitor the necessary pressure on the pumping discharges. Control over (under the guidance of a worker with a higher rank) is also the responsibility of a specialist with a fourth rank.

Depending on the place where the specialist works, the functions may vary slightly.

About the fifth category according to the job description

The driver of technological pumps of the fifth category is obliged to perform the following functions:

Among other things, a worker with the fifth category is obliged to comply with labor safety rules, competently organize the workplace, provide first aid, etc.

About the sixth category according to the job description

What is a worker with the sixth category obliged to do? What are its functions?

Can be distinguished following points with which the specialist in question is dealing:

  • Starting and stopping existing equipment pumping station; check the operation of this station.
  • Detection and elimination of various problems in the operation of technical pumping stations.
  • Repair and inspection of pumping stations (capacity from 3 thousand cubic meters per hour).

It is also worth adding that a specialist with the sixth category already has the right (or rather the duty) to supervise workers with lower qualifications. There are many tasks here: this is work control, the process of teaching workers certain skills, etc. Again, the number of duties will depend only on production.

About the seventh category according to the job description

A worker with the seventh category is endowed with the following functions and responsibilities:

  • adjustment and check of the modes of pumping stations;
  • selection of necessary modes at pumping stations;
  • maintenance of various pump pipelines, units, electric motors;
  • work on the management of pumping stations that pump and prepare oil products (with a capacity of 3,500 cubic meters per hour);
  • carrying out various operations to detect and eliminate malfunctions in the operation of pumping units.

In addition to all of the above, the seventh grade process pump operator is required to work with documentation. Making plans for testing, checking and repairing pumping equipment is also the responsibility of the employee. Plans are also being drawn up for the development of operations to improve service, to increase the operation of various instruments. Also, a specialist with the seventh category is obliged to supervise workers with lower qualifications. Everything here will directly depend on the enterprise: the competence of an employee with the highest rank will be only those functions that the authorities will endow.

Pros and cons of the profession

As in any other profession, there are enough advantages and disadvantages in the work of the specialist in question.

What are the advantages of the profession of a process pump operator?

  • The salary. Of course, the level of income will depend on the available category. The higher the qualification, the higher the salary. However, it is worth considering that the specialist referred to in this article, even if he has the second category, receives very good money.
  • Opportunity for rapid career growth. As already mentioned, there are as many as seven categories in the profession. With proper effort, you can easily improve your skills.

But the profession in question also has disadvantages. Among them are:

  • Problems with employment. Workplace may not be available immediately. This is what you should pay attention to before entering the specialty "technological pump operator". Vacancies, unfortunately, are far from everywhere.
  • High responsibility. Workers have a lot of functions and responsibilities. Almost every process pump operator will agree with this. However, training in a profession will help you fully get used to it and get everything necessary knowledge and skills.

Job responsibilities The following job responsibilities are assigned to the driver of pumping units of the 6th category: 2.1.

Large pumping stations, even fully automated, still require participation service personnel. The duties of the pumping unit operator include not so much total control over the process of equipment operation as maintaining it in working order.
What components and assemblies require the closest attention? Which stations are controlled from a centralized control room, and which require the direct participation of a specialist?
In this article, we will give answers to these questions, as well as tell you what the instructions for the pumping unit operator look like.

Supervision of the operation of the pumping station

Any water supply and sewerage facility, which includes and, requires scheduled preventive inspections and repairs. This is the responsibility of the enterprise or individual The one in charge of the object.

  • As a responsible person, a pumping unit operator is assigned to the pumping station, whose job description defines the scope of his duties. The actions of the maintenance personnel are aimed, first of all, at ensuring the stable operation of the station, and the mode of operation of its equipment, which allows saving resources.

Here are the specialists who service facilities equipped with stations automatic control operating without an on-duty driver, or centrally controlled from the control room:

  • Responsible persons are obliged to make a daily visual inspection of the equipment, noting the readings of the devices in a special log. Although, today there is such automation, which is equipped with recording devices and independently registers the parameters of the equipment.
  • As for the scheduled preventive inspection aimed at preventing premature wear of equipment, and as a result, emergency situations, there are certain deadlines.
  • They are usually installed by the manufacturer of a particular unit or device. Equipment defects discovered during the inspection must be immediately eliminated, and an appropriate entry made in the log.

The frequency of inspection of operating equipment is as follows:

  • Vortex, screw and - 1 time in 3 months
  • Compressors - 1 time in 2 months
  • Measuring instruments - 1 time per year
  • Water meters - 1 time in 2 years
  • Shut-off valves - 2 times a year
  • Pipelines - 4 times a year

Preventive maintenance is required not only industrial equipment but also household. Therefore, if you have a pump in the well, or a pumping station is installed in the basement of the house, do not force them to work for wear and tear.
Most men can do an inspection and minor repairs with their own hands - there would be an instruction.

Service personnel for pumping stations

More powerful objects than those mentioned in the table, or installations that are not equipped with automation, require the constant presence of a specialist. Moreover, he must undergo appropriate training, and receive a document on the qualifications assigned to him.
Next, we will talk about what it looks like work instruction pumping unit operator, and the video in this article will help us with this.
So:

  • In our country, there is a basic document: ETKS (Unified Tariff and Qualification Guide). It lists all existing professions, and qualification requirements to them. ETKS is annually reviewed and updated, and all job descriptions at enterprises are drawn up in accordance with it.

  • As for the drivers of pumping units, the ETKS provides for several degrees of their qualification: from the second to the sixth category. The higher the productivity of the pumping station, the higher the category of its maintenance personnel should be.
    In accordance with the category that is assigned to a specialist, he is also paid a salary.
  • AT in general terms, the job description for a pumping unit operator looks like this. He must know not only the principles of operation of pumps of various designs, and drives to them, but also communication schemes, permissible loads on them during operation, methods for troubleshooting emerging problems and emergencies.
  • The driver must also have some knowledge of physical and chemical properties pumped liquids, know the classification and grades of oils used for equipment. In addition, he must master the basics of electrical engineering, understand how not only pumping, but also electrical equipment functions: motors, compressors, start-up devices, etc.
  • Fire protection, safety and labor protection measures are also an integral part of personnel training. Any pump station operator should have this knowledge. As for the characteristics of the work of a person who has one or another category, the alignment is as follows.
  • The lowest qualification is for the driver of the 2nd category. It can only work on a plant with a total flow of 1000 m3/h.
    This applies not only to water, but also to chemical and non-viscous food liquids. For example, for oil, this criterion is much lower - not 1000, but 100 m3/hour.
  • A driver with a 2nd category must be able to perform simple electrical work, service electrical and power plants. For pumping equipment, he must identify and fix problems and take part in the implementation of routine repairs.
  • Installations with a capacity in the range of 1000 - 3000 m3 / h should be serviced by a 3rd category driver. Further, in ascending order: 4th category - stations with a capacity of 3000-10000 m3 / h; 5th category - 10000-15000 m3 / hour; 6th category - over 15,000 m3 / hour.

Finally, it should be said that persons under the age of majority are not allowed to work as a pumping unit operator.
