The camera has a “main” menu (called by a short press of the on/off button), in which the camera operation mode is selected.

Testing.

Testing of the SJCAM 6 Legend camcorder was started with choosing the optimal settings for photography and video recording: Exposure -0; The image color mode is normal; ISO - auto; White balance - auto; Quality is high; FOV - narrow; Distortion Correction - On

Several shots of the same frame were taken with different resolutions: 16M, 14M, 12M, 10M, 8M, 5M, 3M.

In connection with the Epiphany frosts that came to Siberia, video recording had to be tested indoors, because. shooting outdoors at a temperature outside the window of -33 - 37 is impossible.

Testing was carried out in a closed ice rink, as well as a car (car DVR). During testing, the video resolution was changed, gyro stabilization, the WDR function, and distortion correction were turned on and off.

The use of the SJCAM 6 Legend video camera as a video recorder did not cause strong complaints about the quality of video clips. The camcorder coped well both with shooting in the daytime and in the evening.

The SJCAM 6 Legend also did a pretty good job of shooting in motion. Of the features, the following can be distinguished: video in 4k resolution is interpolated; shooting without using the gyro stabilization function gives a good, pleasant picture, but the video “trembles” very much, which makes it difficult to perceive it; shooting with the gyro stabilization function allows you to get a "smoother" video, but at the same time the video becomes a little "blurry", because of which the detail suffers. The compromise would be shooting with the gyro stabilization set to low. The WDR function also came in very handy. The effect of this function is especially noticeable at different levels of illumination of various objects in the frame.

Autonomy.

The autonomy of the SJCAM 6 Legend camera was tested under various conditions. So, at room temperature (20 degrees Celsius), a full charge of the battery lasts for 96 minutes. If at the same time Wi-Fi is also turned on, then the recording time is reduced to 62 minutes. When shooting outdoors (temperature - 24 degrees Celsius), the camera did not work for 5 minutes.

Results.

The SJCAM 6 Legend left a good impression of itself. The build quality and materials are very good. The received photo and video materials turned out to be at a decent level for a camera of this price segment. The camera has a very good package, and even an excellent waterproof box included. But what is missing in the package is the head straps. The monopod that came with the camera was a nice bonus. The SJCAM 6 Legend has dual displays and Wi-Fi remote control, making it more convenient to use. Software for remote control turned out to be very functional, but at the same time simple and intuitive. According to the author, the only drawback of this camera was a sharp drop in battery life in the cold.

It could have been a normal day if there hadn't been a package from the Kremlin Store unexpectedly on my desk. Being curious, I immediately gutted it to find out what was inside. And - oh God! - it was just what we needed! What I love most in life, what I most often go to the cinema for.

Perhaps not everyone will agree with me, but I think that it is in the action style that you need to review and test an action camera.

What can you say about the package? Rich. On the box itself - all the information about both the characteristics and the contents.

And inside ... "They poured everything that could fit into the box from the hill." A bunch of everything.
I would like to note the aquabox, with which you can dive up to 30 meters, and it has an additional waterproof screen that can be used as a camera touchscreen. True, its use limits the diving depth to 3 m.
A lot of different adapters and fasteners: if you want - screw it on the steering wheel, if you want - stick it on the hood of the car.

Form factor - standard for action cameras.

There are two screens. Recording time, mode and charge level are displayed in front. The back screen is the main one.

There are only three buttons on the case: recording, setting, turning on. There is a 1/4" socket on the bottom.

The camera menu is simple and intuitive.

The camera shoots up to 60 fps at FullHD and up to 120 fps at HD resolutions. There is also a 2K mode and interpolated 4K, which, by the way, is stated on the packaging.

The camera is absolutely easy to control from a smartphone, for this, install the application, which is called SJCAN. Pull the curtain on top of the camera and turn on Wi-Fi in the pop-up menu. Further, everything is standard: the smartphone finds the camera and now you have an external monitor with controls in your hands.

I liked the stabilization, which can be enhanced by turning on the gyroscope. Works well with shaky walking. However, I was very interested in the Anti-Shake inscription on the box and I decided to hang the camera on the scooter and take a ride.
Bottom line: if you want everything to be smooth, use a steadicam.

A little about sound.
The built-in microphone is really good, the camera can be safely used without an external one, however, it supports working with it.

Battery - by the way - 1000 mAh. In the cold, it was enough for me for 2.5 hours of shooting, and then, when the camera was warmed up, it worked for another 20 minutes.

Summing up, I will say that the camera can hardly be called outstanding, but the price for its capabilities can be said to be ridiculous. And from the minuses for me personally: real 4K and the lack of 120 fps at Full HD.
My verdict is that this is a value for money camera. A very good option for travelers and bloggers. A to professional sphere application, it is worth a little more functionally grow up.
