There are several typical types of mesh packaging for fruits and vegetables. We can offer machines for any kind of such packaging.

Packing vegetables and fruits in a grid: Mesh bagRaschel

Raschel-type mesh bag and other similar mesh bags are a fairly common type of fruit and vegetable packaging and are designed for packaging products in large doses. Typically, packaging in these types of mesh bags is sold in 3-5 kg bags; it is also possible to pack several mesh bags into one large mesh Master Bag weighing 25-50 kg. The mesh bag can have a handle for easy transport in retail. Packaging in mesh bags is carried out on a vertical packaging machine.

Net ultrabagorClaf

One of the new types of packaging for vegetables or fruits is Ultrabag bags, which have become widespread in Russia under the name of a combined canvas with a claf mesh. Logo stripe or text information attached along the mesh surface from top to bottom. The weight of the bag with the product is from 100 grams to 5 kg. This is one of the variants of the Carry Fresh bag. A vertical packaging machine is used for packaging in the claf net, the packaging material is fed from a roll. Optionally, it is possible to sew a handle into the packaging for retail.

Mesh D-Pack

Packing type Carry Fresh in mesh-sleeve with wide ribbon insertion and text information printing. In fact, D-pack is an analogue of Ultrabag in terms of appearance, differing in the material of the tape. Possibility of sewing in a carrying handle or perforation for fingers. D-pack packaging is carried out on special packaging machines. Mesh-sleeve and tape are used as packing material.

Net Girsacor parcel

The most widespread in the world is the packaging of fruits and vegetables in a mesh sleeve with a Girsac-type tape. In Russia, this type of packaging is known as a parcel and is used in hypermarkets for packaging apples, pears, grapefruits, potatoes and other agricultural products. Packing weight from 500 grams to 4 kg. This is one of the variants of the Carry Fresh bag. Ribbon in Girsac packaging may be non-centered or centered, i.e. using photo tags. The centered tape is used when text information is printed on the tape, which must be placed exactly in a certain position on the finished package. Girsac packaging can use full turn tape or short tapes. For packaging in parcels, a C-Pack type packaging machine is used, the packaging material is two tapes and a mesh sleeve.

Net Girplus

One of the most widely used types of packaging for fruits and vegetables. 1 flap is attached to the top of the grid on one side or 2 flaps of film on 2 sides, respectively. The film may not be centered, i. only with a picture without text, or centered - i.e. with textual information located in a strictly defined place in relation to the entire package. The weight of the bags is from 500 grams to 3 kg. Girplus packaging is carried out on C-Pack type vertical packaging machines, similar to Girsac packaging.

Net Omegabagor Clip to Clip

Packaging of fruits and vegetables in Omega bag is widely used in Russia under the name Clip-to-Clip. Products are fed into the sect sleeve and clipped with two clips with a label inserted, which is attached to the grid in two places with clips. The weight of the bags is from 500 grams to 3 kg. Packaging is carried out on a vertical packaging machine in a knitted mesh-sleeve or mesh-sleeve extrusion.

Mesh tube sleeve with clip or Grapa

Standard for Russian market was the packaging of vegetables and fruits in a mesh sleeve with a metal clip closure and an insert of a wine label such as Wine Glass. This technology is called Grapa all over the world. For packaging in a net, a sleeve with a clip is used an automatic clipper for vegetables and fruits with the ability to change the tube-holder of the net without stopping the packing process. The weight of the bags is from 500 grams to 3 kg. This is the most economical type of packaging, one of the C-Pack packaging options. The advantage of Grapa technology is the visual representation of the packaged product to the buyer. Optionally, along with the Wine Glass label, a handle or a so-called “stick” can be clipped on. Ribbon - a tape 12-20 mm wide for the entire length of the package. Closing of the sleeve mesh can be carried out on both sides with two clips, or mesh bale can be used with clip closure on one side.

Mesh with ultrasonic welding USB

Packaging of fruits and vegetables in Ultrasound welded bag with ultrasonic welding of the label is a variation of the classic Wine Glass wine labeling technology and eliminates the use of a metal clip. Worldwide this technology became popular under the name USB. Instead of metal, a sticky polyethylene clip is used, which protects the manufacturer from the possibility of cutting parts getting into the child's stomach and the corresponding legal costs. The weight of the bags is from 500 grams to 3 kg. This is one of the types of C-Pack packaging.

Multihead weigher for fruits and vegetables

In the process of industrial packaging of vegetables and fruits, it is necessary to use a linear multihead weigher as a batcher for a packaging machine, which can greatly improve the batching accuracy and productivity of the filling line. The vegetable or fruit dose is combined from several smaller sub-doses in the multihead weighing hoppers. The final combination by weight is formed in such a way that the total weight of several small doses most closely matches the weight of the final dose of the product. The final dose with the target weight comes from the multihead weigher into the feed hopper of the clipper into the mesh sleeve or the machine for filling into the mesh bag. On request, a video of the operation of the complex for packing agricultural products into a mesh sleeve using a multihead is available.

For these purposes, the company "Merpasa" offers a wide range of units that allow packaging vegetables in nets of various formats. Depending on the needs of your production, you can choose a vegetable packaging line with the necessary set of functions.

Benefits of mesh packaging

Regardless of the class of filling equipment, its operation provides the following advantages:

  • Increase in productivity. Even a budget clipper for mesh with a mechanical drive speeds up the process of packing products several times. Automatic lines not only increase productivity, but also reduce manual labor costs.
  • Simplify product accounting. Neatly and accurately packaged vegetables in nets are much easier to sort and account for at the production stage, as well as during the sale in large volumes.
  • Extended shelf life. Mesh packaging for vegetables and fruits allows air to pass through, so that the products are dried in a timely manner and stored longer than when stored in bulk.
  • Increasing external attractiveness. In supermarkets, products packaged in this way can be easily inspected from all sides, assessing their condition, size, natural color and ripeness.
  • Simplify transport and storage. Goods packed in nets are easier to load, transport to places of sale and store. It also simplifies window dressing.

Assortment of mesh wrappers

The company "Merpasa" offers the following categories of equipment for packing vegetables:

  • Budget Packers. This is the simplest equipment that allows you to increase the efficiency of packaging the finished product before selling. The advantages of a manual mesh clipper are low cost and ease of operation. There is no need for qualified operators to work on such equipment. Suitable for packing almost any vegetables and fruits.
  • Automatic and semi-automatic packers. More sophisticated equipment for packaging the product in a regular mesh with fixation with clips. Provides output up to 40 units per minute, depending on the model and packaging format. Application - packaging of potatoes, citrus fruits and other products.
  • Packers in a vertical grid with a film. The peculiarity of such packaging is the binding of products in a mesh with a laminated film, on which information about the manufacturer is applied.
  • Tube packers. This equipment is used to pack a well sized product in several pieces in a small oblong net. Usually used for packaging premium citrus fruits, garlic.
  • Packers of correxes in the grid. Weighed fruits are packaged in a rigid container, which is wrapped in a net. Such aggregates are used for packing fruits with a soft structure that cannot be squeezed, for example, kiwi, grapes, strawberries.
  • Packers in a rectangular grid. Packing of fresh fruits is carried out in a grid of regular rectangular shape, followed by pasting with a laminated film, on which graphic information is applied.
  • Big mesh wrappers. It is most often used for packing potatoes in large format nets. Also, the technique is used for packing cabbage, beets and other products that are solid in structure.

More detailed information about one or another category of equipment for packing and packaging vegetables is presented in the relevant sections of the site. To order a suitable line for packaging products in a net or get Additional information, contact our managers.

The vegetable grid has become an indispensable tool for storing, transporting, moving vegetables and fruits. Potatoes, onions, carrots, cabbage and beets are most often seen in vegetable nets.

Mesh has gained popularity due to its high breathability and durability.

In the process of storing vegetables, breathability plays one of the main roles, ensuring good ventilation of the product and preventing its premature spoilage.

The grid also allows the buyer to see the purchased product and evaluate its quality. Various vegetable nets are designed for loads from 1.5 to 50 kilograms.

Equipment for the production of vegetable nets must be selected based on the required volume finished products at the exit. Depending on the selected performance, the cost will also change significantly. The choice of the manufacturing country of the required equipment will also have a great influence on the price.

The production of a vegetable mesh consists of several stages - from the preparation of raw materials to the packaging of finished products.

Raw material preparation

Most in a simple way obtaining raw materials is the purchase of finished HDPE granules. If it is possible to organize the process of collecting plastic waste and delivering it to production, then an industrial shredder will turn any plastic material into small crumbs suitable for further processing. The starting material is plastic bottles, boxes, lids, bags, packaging from household and industrial goods.

The obtained source material is fed to the mixer for further dosage and mixing of the dye.

Making thread and winding it on bobbins

A thread for vegetable nets is produced on an extruder. Technological process includes the stages of production of a continuous film, its stretching and unraveling into thin threads of a given width. Directly behind the extruder is a machine for winding the resulting thread onto bobbins. On it there is an automatic winding for further use in the weaving process.

Vegetable Netting Machine

On both sides of loom there are bobbins with a wound flat thread. The process produces two separate webs, which are later woven on one side to form the bottom of the mesh. Additionally, they are intertwined in the specified places to form the side seams of the mesh, a thread-tie is woven. The speed of the process is adjusted depending on the needs of production. After the fabric of the vegetable net is made, it is automatically wound into rolls.

Cutting fabric into finished products

The mesh fabric is cut manually using thermal knives. The operator places the roll on specially mounted tables with automatic unwinding and stretching of the web, where he cuts it into individual nets.

Finished product packaging

The cut vegetable nets are stacked in even piles and transferred to the hydraulic packer. After the pressing process, they are packed in special paper and compressed with ties for further transportation.

It should be noted that equipment for the production of vegetable nets should be placed in a specially prepared production room with an area of 500 to 1000 m2. At the production site, a water supply must be organized for the continuous operation of the extruder and uninterrupted ventilation must be ensured. Also production room must fully comply with sanitary and fire regulations. Permits for the opening of production are issued on the basis of a project completed by a competent design organization.
