Milling copying desktop machines with cnc. CNC desktop machines of the BIGSTOL series - from the SteepLine factory

CNC milling machines are convenient, practical and compact equipment. It has a low cost and at the same time is distinguished by functionality and versatility. This explains such a high demand for equipment in medium and small businesses. CNC woodworking machines are great for making small parts and also allow you to organize mass production. Engraving and milling machines can also apply any text or image on top of products.

Depending on the size, CNC milling machines are divided into two types:

  1. Stationary. Such large equipment is installed in spacious industrial premises. Its key features are: high performance, great resource and unpretentiousness in service. These CNC routers are used for the active production of plastic, wood and metal goods.
  2. Desktop. The equipment is small in size and can be used to perform various works on metal and other materials. Key Feature CNC routers of this type - ease of installation. All necessary fasteners are included in the kit.

The presented machines can be bought for the manufacture of products from wood, metal and other materials, for applying engravings and pictures on workpieces. In this case, the image and text are applied in 2D and 3D format. The acquisition of such a machine will significantly expand the range of products, as well as significantly increase labor productivity. In addition, the purchase of CNC routers is an opportunity to open a new line of business.

Advantages of CNC milling machines

At the same time, all YUSTO customers can also order maintenance of CNC milling machines. To clarify the technical characteristics of the models, you can contact the managers by phone.

Equipment

Desktop CNC milling machines are a worthy alternative to their large factory counterparts. In terms of functionality and accuracy of processing products, they are not inferior, and due to their lower weight and dimensions, they can be used not only in any small-scale production, but even at home.

1

It is actually a reduced copy. The desktop unit is designed to perform the same types of operations in the manufacture of complex-shaped products: milling, drilling, boring, countersinking, and so on. And the principle of its operation is the same, but unlike large machines, it can only process workpieces of much smaller sizes. But desktop CNC milling equipment can be used as engraving. Large industrial units will not cope with such work.

Dimensions of desktop CNC milling equipment no more than 910x880x880 mm. But for some models, the length of the table may exceed 1 m (usually 1135 or 1150 mm). The weight of machines reaches from several tens to 200 kg. They are powered by 220 V. Max Height workpieces (working area) of desktop CNC machines vary from 40 to 200 mm, and the spindle power is in the range of 0.7–1.5 kW.

These machines are of two types. Console general form, design and principle of operation are similar to those available for .

For portal machines, the spindle is fixed on a cross beam between two vertical posts, which can be stationary or move along the Y axis. Accordingly, the work table, together with the workpiece fixed to it, either moves along the Y axis or is stationary. The spindle moves not only vertically (Z-axis), but also along the X-axis - along the beam between the posts.

CNC Portal Desktop Machine Spindle

Controlled equipment connected via USB port personal computer With operating system Windows through a special software(software) and / or using the DSP controller of the machine (depending on the configuration of the CNC unit). The program can be loaded from an external memory carrier, and the computer is disconnected while the machine is running (also depends on its model). Using the software, you can control the processing of the workpiece in manual mode via DSP or create a program that fully automates the execution of all operations.

All machines allow you to perform 2D and 3D processing, and some equipment even 4D and 5D. Types of processed materials: from plastic and wood to non-ferrous metals, stone and steel. These capabilities of the machine depend on its purpose and model. Many units are equipped, and others can be optionally equipped with a chip blower, a spindle cooling system, a rotary device used during the processing of conical products, and other auxiliary units.

In the description of the machines, the abbreviation CNC can be found - this is the English designation for CNC equipment.

The machines are used in dental laboratories, as well as research and educational institutes, high-precision production of any workshops, including jewelry ones. They perform milling, drilling, polishing, grinding, engraving work at home in the manufacture of small products. The machines receive or process parts of furniture, interior, advertising media, and so on; stamps, seals, souvenirs and jewelry, radio boards and more.

Desktop CNC milling equipment is used not only by individuals who love and know how to do something with the help of machine tools, small workshops and workshops, small industries, but even at large enterprises. On the latter, they mainly prefer to install units designed for metal processing. Such a wide scope of CNC desktop milling equipment is due to its main advantages:

  • relative ease of use;
  • small weight and compactness;
  • mobility;
  • simpler construction and maintenance compared to large machines;
  • connection to the mains 220 V;
  • relatively low cost;
  • low power consumption;
  • the noise level is within the permissible values and most often significantly below them;
  • much higher productivity compared to manual control equipment;
  • reducing the need for enterprises in qualified milling machines;
  • minimum terms of transition to processing or production of new or other type of details.

For large enterprises, the point of using desktop equipment is that for the manufacture of small parts you do not have to use large, which means more energy-consuming machines. In addition, they are already without work, and it is very expensive to buy additional ones. In addition, not every large machine will cope with fine milling, which is designed for a desktop unit.

Tabletop fine milling unit

A feature of the operation of CNC equipment is that it is not at all necessary to be a qualified milling machine operator to work on it. The operator who controls such a machine only needs to correctly fix the workpiece, and then download and run the program, according to which the unit will perform all the necessary operations without human intervention. It would seem that everything is very simple. That's just to write a program for CNC milling equipment requires special qualifications. Need a specialist who knows how to use the CAD / CAM system for such a machine. It includes:

  • directly CNC with its software (command system);
  • computer used to control the machine through the CNC and write a program for it, and the necessary software on it.

That is, an unprepared person who has bought a desktop CNC milling or milling and engraving unit will have to learn how to use it and the necessary software, with which it will be necessary to:

  • draw drawings,
  • create three-dimensional (3D) models of products,
  • write programs for the CNC machine based on the created drawings and models.

In addition to solving these problems, when operating CNC equipment, it is also necessary to control the correctness of its operation.

3

Externally, CNC milling and engraving desktop equipment may not differ at all from a simple milling machine. It depends on the models and designs of machines of both types. And the scope of milling and engraving units is the same as described for milling machines above. And the latter, as noted earlier, can also be used for engraving work. What is their difference?

Milling machines are more focused on performing this particular type of work, and with the engraving attachment, they are more sharpened for engraving.

CNC milling and engraving desktop equipment

It is possible to process steel on milling equipment, but not on engraving equipment, only non-ferrous metals and not very hard materials. But on it you can perform any subtle, literally jewelry work. You can’t do this on milling equipment. Only on an engraving machine can you always get in all respects a functionally complete product that does not require additional processing or finishing. On a milling machine, it depends on the level of processing accuracy required and feasible on the equipment.

In order for the engraving unit to perform its high-precision work quickly, safely and without marriage, it includes technical equipment a product height sensor is required. It allows not only to speed up processing, but also to prevent damage to the engraver or micro-cutting machine. In addition, the engraving machine can be equipped with sensors: product curvature (tilt), length measurement and tool overhang. They additionally provide machining accuracy and depth of cut.

4

All desktop CNC machines have a limit on the maximum dimensions of workpieces to be machined. It is structurally embedded in the device of milling equipment and is determined by the dimensions of the processing area along the X and Y axes, as well as the height of the location and the stroke of the spindle along Z. But this limitation does not apply to the German desktop units BZT of the PF series.

German desktop unit BZT PF series

On these CNC machines, it is possible to process workpieces with dimensions exceeding the values of the parameters for moving the spindle along the X, Y and Z axes. To do this, it is enough to remove its work table from the BZT-PF equipment for metal, on which the milled product should be mounted. This mode of operation in these machines is provided constructively and programmatically. After that, you can process the blanks:

  1. Much higher height than provided with desktop not removed. In this case, the machine must be installed on additional stands that will raise it relative to the workpiece being processed, fixed, for example, in a rotary chuck or vice of a metalwork table.
  2. With any surface area. That is, the restriction on the length of processing along the X and Y axes is completely removed. In this case, the machine is placed directly on the workpiece itself, and then moved along it. Before starting work, the milled surface is programmatically divided into fragments (sections), along which the CNC unit is moved sequentially, as the product is processed.

Another additional feature, which is far from being provided on all CNC milling desktop units, is tracking possible failures and correcting the operation of the machine directly in the process of processing the product if they occur, which helps to prevent defects and significantly increase productivity. This function is performed by special servo controllers. They are currently equipped only with some high-precision machines with stepper motors, usually milling and engraving.

5 Equipment-constructor - assemble the necessary machine yourself

Another advantage of desktop CNC milling equipment is the ability to purchase the machine as a kit. Such a unit will cost much less than a finished one. In addition, when purchasing a set-constructor, it will be possible to choose its desired configuration. That is, you will have to pay only for those options of milling equipment that you will use. And if you need to expand the capabilities of the machine, then this is easy to do at any time by purchasing the necessary modules and parts.

Kits for assembling desktop CNC milling equipment deservedly enjoy enough in high demand. And the point here is not mainly in the lower price compared to finished machines. It is important that at the same time, a self-assembled unit, as a rule (depending on the model of the kit-constructor and its manufacturer), is not inferior in terms of its own and the quality of processing of products to similar finished factory equipment. It is covered by the same warranty period of maintenance and technical support throughout the entire period of operation.

It usually takes about 3-4 hours to self-assemble a desktop CNC milling unit. Attached instructions with photos and detailed explanations eliminates the possibility of getting confused when designing or setting up a machine, getting confused in its incomprehensible elements or complex schemes.

Desktop, with a sufficiently high functionality, can be successfully used for processing workpieces made of ferrous and non-ferrous metals, stone, ceramics, plastics and wood. Thanks to the control system that such a mini-machine is equipped with, the processing of the part can be performed accurately and efficiently.

Working principle and design of desktop CNC milling machine

Desktop type are practically indispensable for equipping small industries, the main activity of which is the manufacture of components for assemblies and mechanisms Vehicle. Until recently, desktop metalworking machines were only manual, a little later automated, and now desktop-type devices equipped with CNC systems are becoming more common.

The workpieces that need to be processed on a mini-milling machine are fixed on its desktop, and the processing itself is performed by a rotating cutting tool - a milling cutter. According to their design, desktop milling machines for metal are divided into two large categories:

  1. with a console (this includes machines of a vertical, horizontal and universal type);
  2. without console (this category includes only horizontal and vertical machines).

The most widespread in our time are machine tools equipped with a console, on which the workpiece is fixed. In machines of this type, the spindle does not move; all movements of the workpiece relative to the cutting tool are provided by a movable console.

The device of machines of the consoleless category does not imply the presence of a console; processing on such equipment occurs due to longitudinal and transverse movements of the desktop, as well as due to spindle movements (including along the vertical axis).

The CNC system in the desktop is responsible for performing all the necessary technological operations, information about which is previously entered on a special medium. For desktop mini-machines equipped with such a control system, several basic types of software are used.

Position type software

Such software is used for machines of boring and drilling-milling group. Its peculiarity lies in the fact that only the coordinates of the points at which the processing should be performed are received on the information carrier.

Loop type software

In this case, the trajectory along which the cutter must move during processing is entered on the information carrier. Such software is used for milling equipment of cylindrical grinding type.

Combined software

Software of this type is used to control multi-purpose machines, equipment of the turning and milling group. As the name of this software implies, it combines the capabilities of the software of the two previous categories.

Multiloop type software

Programs of this type are among the most complex, but they are able to control all CNC functions. Such complex software is used to control wide format milling equipment.

Varieties of CNC milling machines desktop type

When comparing the automated equipment of the drilling and milling group with a desktop CNC milling machine, it becomes obvious that the latter has a number of advantages. It can process parts with a complex contour with high precision and do it as efficiently as possible. To work on such a desktop machine, specialized personnel are not needed, one operator is enough to run the control computer program.

Previously, CNC equipment was used only in production area, now we can talk about the active use of CNC-equipped desktop and other materials in a home workshop, as well as in a garage. Many home craftsmen make such machines with their own hands. Naturally, even mini-machines equipped with a CNC system are much more expensive than a conventional device.

All milling machines on which a CNC system is installed are classified as follows:

  • devices for processing metal blanks;
  • machines for working with wooden products;
  • devices of milling and engraving group.

Milling mini-equipment designed for metal processing allows you to obtain parts from blanks made from various grades of steel.

Among desktop milling machines, the following categories are distinguished by the level of complexity of their design:

  • devices designed to perform only milling operations;
  • milling and processing machines;
  • devices that are versatile;
  • turning and milling equipment;
  • machines belonging to the drilling and milling group.

The cost of mini CNC machines used for metal work starts at $450.

For milling wood blanks, specialized desktop devices are required. Such equipment, which can be made with your own hands, is actively used in furniture manufacturing enterprises, in home carpentry workshops, it can be used to process wood, as well as blanks from other soft materials - acrylic, aluminum, etc.

Mini woodworking equipment can cost up to $400. A CNC engraving milling machine, which can also be assembled by hand, is used for processing (milling and engraving) blanks made of artificial and natural stones, concrete.

Thanks to technical specifications and the functionality that the CNC engraving milling device has, it is used to make carved columns, figurines and other decorative products of various designs. Such a desktop machine is indispensable, even if it is homemade, when creating advertising signs and various plaques. With the help of engraving equipment, images and inscriptions made on various materials are given the required relief. Such capabilities of desktop machines of this group are in great demand in the printing industry - in the manufacture of stamps.

Small engraving machines are actively used in jewelry, where they are used to make molds for casting and perform inlay. Such devices have found active use in shoe industry, where they are used for the manufacture of patterns, templates, as well as molds for casting. The cost of machines in this group is within 4000 dollars.

CNC milling machines, belonging to the group of drilling and milling equipment, are universal, as they allow you to replace two highly specialized devices. Such desktop machines, which are compact in size, save not only space in the workshop, but also finances, since you do not have to spend money on purchasing equipment of two types.

A drilling and milling device, even made by hand, allows you to effectively and with high accuracy perform many technological operations: drilling holes, cutting threads in them, milling horizontal and end surfaces, countersinking, etc.

CNC equipment belonging to the drilling and milling group is actively used in large enterprises, in small businesses, it is often bought to equip home workshops. To save on the purchase of such universal machines, many home craftsmen try to make it with their own hands. This is understandable: the cost of such equipment, made in working conditions starts at $1500.

When choosing a desktop CNC milling machine, you should not focus only on its cost, since it is not always an indicator of quality. Pay attention to its power functionality, the speed at which the processing of products from different materials can be performed.

In addition, such machines are classified according to the location of the working body in relation to the workpiece being processed. For example, according to this parameter, horizontal and vertical milling machines are distinguished.

Constantly evolving technological process today allows the use of computer information devices in the processing of materials. This innovation is being especially actively implemented in the manufacturing industries, in which machine tools are most often controlled using specially developed programs, which can significantly reduce the time for production of products and labor costs, as well as improve the quality of processing. These processing units include engraving and milling machines with CNC, where the process is controlled not by the hands of a machine operator, but by electronic units that generate signals using computer programs.

Such milling and engraving machine can perform complex graphics in the form of a variety of images and reliefs. A person only needs to set the processing program. On this, his manual participation in the processing of the part stops, and then the electronic brain of the machine itself directs the work.

CNC Router, designed for creating images, is capable of performing the most complex technological tasks, and is quite easy to operate. In particular, the machine can be programmed with a task for the production of artistic engraving, inscription, drawing in 3D graphic format. And such work can be done as wood engraving machine, and machines for processing plastic, composite materials.

CNC "Modelist" implements machines for working with wood, as well as metals, ceramics, artificial stone, polymers of various compositions. This equipment belongs to the machines of the modern technological level. Most often, our customers choose machines for working with wood, metal and plastic, which allows many entrepreneurs to start their own business or improve their hobby.

Our product catalog includes such models as CNC engraving and milling machines, wood engraving and milling machines, metalworking machines, jewelers' machines (model wax milling), etc.

We have desktop engraving machines and work with various materials. With a fairly compact size and low weight, such equipment is capable of performing a wide variety of operations. And a big plus is that, due to its small dimensions, such a machine can be placed in a room with a small area - in a garage, personal workshop and even at home. The big advantage is milling and engraving machine price, which is very democratic in comparison with the cost of stationary full-scale equipment. This is very convenient, because in our time, not every entrepreneur can afford the purchase of a large-sized unit with a capacity exceeding a million rubles. Now this technique is available not only large enterprises, but also to ordinary craftsmen working with wood or metal. The ability of a wide range of people to access high-tech equipment indicates an increase in the wealth of the population and the breadth of opportunities to realize their creative or business ideas. And for small or medium-sized businesses, low-productivity cycles performed on small CNC milling and engraving machines are enough. At the same time, it should be taken into account that with such equipment the energy consumption is much lower than when working on a full-format machine. The result is a double benefit. In addition, to work on such machines there is no need to recruit numerous service staff. An operator is enough, whose task will be to load the necessary programs into the CNC unit and start the machine.

If you are planning to open a small production, then you just need buy milling and engraving machine desktop type. The control of such a machine is easy to master. Until recently, such devices had only manual control. Today, CNC allows you to engrave different kind simply by setting the appropriate program.

When choosing which machine to purchase, you must decide in advance on the tasks that you want to solve using this technical support. With the help of a CNC milling machine, you can perform any type of wood carving - decorate the facade of a house, make a furniture set or park benches. Once upon a time, all this was done by hand, because wood carving has always been one of the traditions of Slavic art. But today engraving machines have been squeezed out of this area. manual labor. The machine executes the given program with the highest precision thanks to a large number cutting tools.

DIFFERENT FEATURES OF THE DESKTOP CNC MILLING MACHINE MAGIC 70

A distinctive feature of Magic machines is the ability to engrave curved surfaces. This opportunity will be indispensable when applying engraving to parts obtained by casting or stamping, for example, in the case of industrial engraving or the manufacture of souvenirs. There are two options for engraving on uneven surfaces.

Watch video: Milling a ring with a depth gauge

Engraving with depth adjustment. In the case when it is necessary to ensure the engraving depth on an uneven part, for example, when marking parts and panels for subsequent grouting, the use of a depth regulator is an excellent solution. In this mode, a special ring around the tool runs along the surface of the material, and the engraver is set to a fixed height, which allows you to maintain the required engraving depth on all surfaces of the part.

When working in both modes, the spindle assembly of the machine is transferred to a floating position, which allows you to track the distortion of the part, and the spring compression force set from the software will allow you to select the operating mode that provides the required quality of processing.

There was a possibility of diamond circular cutting and engraving on rings
