Bird animation. Bird Animation

What will you create

Animals are really fun to spice things up. In my early days as an animator, a flying bird was one of the first things I learned how to animate!

This is our avian cute little guy, isn't it? We're going to make this little guy! I chose to make it a blue bird, but this is your special character, so you can completely customize the bird to your style. OK, let's go!

1. Draw bird poses

The main postures are called extremes. Drawings that smooth the action between extremes are called in-betweens.

I work roughly by simply blocking out the general shape of the body, wings and head, using circles and line shapes. The wings are mostly laced - in rectangular shapes - I'm going to add feathers later. We'll add the details later, so let's not get bogged down worrying about the details right now.

I'm going to animate a bird flying in place on the screen so we have a nice loop.

Draw our first pose. My first extreme is a bird with its wings up. As I work rough, I also work out what the rear wing does and how the movement of the rear wing matches the location of the wing closest to us. When you are working rough, it is quite normal to overlap your sketch lines when you are working on what the rear wing does.

Step 2

Let's draw our second extreme. The bird flaps its wings so that the wings in the second extreme position are in the down position.

Look good! To show you the two extremes we have so far, I've placed them side by side on this slide.

Notice how the wings burst at the bottom position, the bird is slightly taller at the second extreme. It would look nice if you just animate the wings flapping while keeping the body and head in the same position, but I like to show how the movement of the wings affects the whole body. The body also turns slightly at the neck to the second extreme when the bird's wings are lowered.

Now I have two extremes on the same slide so you can see the movement of the body. I made extreme 1 red and extreme 2 green so you can see them easily.

Step 3

Add an intermediate! Now that we have two extremes 1 and 2, let's draw an intermediate drawing that smooths out the action between extremes 1 and 2. Work rough - don't worry about the details.

When the bird's wings descend from the top position, I like to show that the bottoms of the wings have little flexibility for them, and are slightly bent as they descend against air drag, as there are wing feathers at the ends of the feathers.

Here is our interim show with extreme 1 and extreme 2 in light grey. When I add in mediators, I like to favor the extremes that I draw inside. Since I'm working on extreme 2, my wings are a little closer to this position.

The wings of a bird follow an arc. The wing is a little split, as we are looking at the bird almost from the side.

Step 4

Draw a gap between the extreme 2 and extreme 1. The wings move from the bottom position back to the top position. Since we're animating the loop, our last drawing will loop back to our first drawing.

Notice how the undersides of the wings show the flexibility of the wings, and as the wings move back, the bottom curves decrease a bit to show the flexibility of the feathers. The hind wing is almost completely behind the bird's head, but you can still see some of the wing.

For now, take a look at all of our drawings. You may have noticed that when I animate I left the front fender slightly transparent so you can see what's happening to his legs as he flies. The wings won't show through when we paint it. There is no need to show the legs through the wings.

Now I've numbered all of our drawings so we've added in-betweens.

Let's see how it looks like that! It's going well! Good job! Now let's sweeten up the animation and add more in-betweens!

Step 5

Let's add an intermediate between our drawing 1 and drawing 2! Notice how I'm still working. Also don't forget about the rear fender!

Step 6

Add an intermediate result after drawing 2! We've added one of the drawings 1 and 2, and now we're adding one of the drawings 2 and 3. Once we've finished adding our in-betweens, we're going to renumber all the drawings accordingly.

Step 7

Now let's add an in-between between Figures 3 and 4, still working rough, still just working in the shapes and not worrying about the details of the face.

Step 8

And finally, for our in-betweens, let's add one between our drawing number 4 and drawing number 1 to complete the loop. Drawing number 4 is in blue and drawing number 1 is in red. Our intermediate color is in black. Notice how our last drawing is also our first drawing!

Let's take a look! It looks very good! Good job sweetening our animation and making it really smooth by adding all those in the same place!

2. Add detail

Add a facial detail! Our bird can't smile without its beak, so give it a face!

It's going well - it's a happy bird!

Step 2

Nate, sweeten and add feathers!

I decided to zoom in to show you how I am adding details and making a neat line. You can see my clean line on top of my draft line (the draft line is light grey). I clean up my character and prefer to work in a free style like a brush line. As I tighten up my drawings, notice how I add feathers to the wings and tail. See how the feathers follow the general shape of my rough wing? The same goes for the tail.

Continue! It looks good! It's not a perfect line - it's handmade, so it has a nice, loose quality.

Here is our bird in normal size. We're almost done cleaning up the animation!

Looks great! It's a happy flying bird!

3. Ready, install, color!

There is only one left. And this...

Color your animation!

Blue is my favorite color, so I chose a cheerful shade of blue and gave it a yellow beak. Fun! But your bird can be a different color if you choose - it's your special animation!

This is it!

Let's finally see... Looks BIG!!

Congratulations! In a short time, you revived a flying bird. It's one of the coolest things to revitalize because what's cooler than flying? Keep animating! See you next time!

The history of the smiley - yellow-faced smile has been around for half a century and has accompanied the operation of the Internet from the very moment of its inception. Being invented by a good-natured optimistic artist, a cheerful face has become an indispensable attribute of communication in ICQ, chats and throughout the World Wide Web, making it impossible for people to express emotions without using them.

When typing a post somewhere on a forum or blog, you can of course easily “build” an emotional physiognomy using elementary punctuation marks, brackets and other special characters, but the finished face will look much more interesting.

Much brighter and more fun look animated emoticons, which in a ridiculous form personify countless different emotions of network users. They are very different and can serve different purposes. You can easily decorate a friend's birthday greeting card with a solemn card in honor of his birthday. You can safely prank your friends and are not afraid of retribution by sending an animated postcard in honor of the April Fools' Day.

Also, cheerful koloboks are widely used on the network for congratulations on February 23, New Year, Easter, March 8, May 1 and 9, as well as many other holidays and significant dates.

Along with fun, a face is able to express your sadness, fatigue, excitement, or silently and colorfully demonstrate your attitude to the side of the dialogue. In search of a bright and stylish signature for messages, you should pay attention to iridescent sparkles, which captivate the eye with their spectacle and sophistication.

Of course, much can be expressed in words, but often words alone are not enough, and a long wish on a card makes you sleepy by the end of reading it, because you forget where you started. Nothing pleases the eyes of the birthday man so much as an outstanding congratulatory picture on his page, shimmering with all the colors of the rainbow and giving all the warmth that the congratulator put into this message.

Here you can find a huge number of different types of animations, emoticons, as well as brilliant pictures. Rare and original, they will always distinguish you in the crowd of Internet resource users and emphasize your impeccable style and subtle humor.

On our site you can easily find a smiley or an animation for any occasion, securing the status of a witty participant in forums and chats. A collection of the most successful and popular GIFs and postcards on the web will become a real treasure trove for you in the process of virtual communication with old acquaintances and future friends.

Do not miss the opportunity to color your life and the everyday life of others with a variety of bright animated images and cheerful holiday attributes, because we only live once and a little holiday with a positive mood never hurts.

Sincerely, Congratulation!
