This standard applies to measuring metal rulers with measurement limits up to 3000 mm, with a division value of 1 mm.

The standard does not apply to rulers special purpose.

Section requirements. 1, pp. 2.1 - 2.10; 2.14 and sec. 2b of this standard are mandatory, other requirements are recommended.

1. MAIN PARAMETERS AND DIMENSIONS

1.1. Rulers must be manufactured with the following measurement limits: 150; 300; 500; 1000; 1500; 2000;3000 mm.

Rulers should be made with two scales (Fig. 1), with one scale (Fig. 2), as well as with two scales, the digitization of which is directed in opposite directions (Fig. 3).

(Changed edition, Rev. No. 1, 2, 3).

1.2. The main dimensions of the rulers, strokes and numerical designations must correspond to those indicated in Table. one.

Table 1

Dimensions in mm

(Revised edition, Rev. No. 3).

1.3. The difference in the length of millimeter, half-centimeter and centimeter strokes must be at least 1.5 mm.

1.4. The difference in the length of the strokes of the same name, as well as the height of the numerical designations, should not exceed 0.5 mm.

Example symbol measuring ruler with a measurement limit of 300 mm:

The same, with a measurement limit of 1000 mm with two scales:

2. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

2.1. The beginning of the scale of the ruler should be the end face perpendicular to the longitudinal edge of the ruler. The rulers behind the last centimeter mark of the scale must have at least five additional millimeter divisions. The rounded end of the ruler must have a hanging hole with a diameter of at least 5 mm for rulers with measurement limits of 150, 300 and 500 mm and at least 8 mm for rulers with a measurement limit of 1000 mm or more.

Rulers with a measurement limit of 1000 mm or more with two scales must have a second end face perpendicular to the longitudinal edge of the ruler, and must not have additional millimeter divisions.

2.2. The end face or end faces that serve as the beginning of the ruler must be straight and perpendicular to the longitudinal edge of the ruler. The deviation from perpendicularity should not exceed ± 10¢. The deviation from the straightness of the end face should not exceed 0.04 mm for rulers with measurement limits of 150, 300 and 500 mm and 0.08 mm for rulers with a measurement limit of 1000 mm or more.

2.3. Deviations from the nominal values of the scale length and distances between any stroke and the beginning or end of the scale should not exceed the values specified in Table. 2.

table 2

(Revised edition, Rev. No. 3).

2.4. Deviations from the nominal lengths of the centimeter divisions of the scale of the rulers should not exceed 0.10 mm, and deviations from the nominal values of the lengths of the millimeter divisions of the scale of the rulers should not exceed ± 0.05 mm.

2.5. Each centimeter stroke of the ruler scale must have a numerical designation indicating the distance in centimeters to this stroke from the beginning of the scale.

If there are two scales, the centimeter strokes of both scales are indicated:

One row of numbers for scales by hell. one;

Two rows of numbers, each of which is directed from the beginning of the scale, for scales by features. 3.

(Revised edition, Rev. No. 3).

2.6. The color of strokes and numbers should be black, distinct. The strokes should reach the longitudinal edge of the ruler.

2.7. The rulers must be made of cold-rolled heat-treated steel strip with a polished surface of strength groups 1P and 2P in accordance with GOST 21996.

The straightness of the longitudinal rib - according to GOST 21996.

(Changed edition, Rev. No. 1, 3).

2.8. Gap between surface plate and the plane of the ruler placed on the plate (scale up) should not exceed 0.5 mm for rulers with a scale length of 150, 300, 500 mm; 0.7 - for rulers with a scale length of 1000 mm and 1 - for rulers with a scale length of more than 1000 mm.

(Revised edition, Rev. No. 3).

2.9. The roughness of the end faces on the base length of 0.8 mm - Ra£ 2.5 according to GOST 2789.

2.10. The rulers must have an anti-corrosion galvanic chrome coating in accordance with GOST 9.306.

On the reverse side small shells, longitudinal scratches, risks and impressions from rolls with a depth not exceeding the tolerance for the thickness of the tape are allowed.

2.12. Full average service life - not less than 5 years.

The criterion for the limit state of the rulers is the wear of the scales, leading to non-fulfillment of the requirements of paragraphs. 2.6 and 2.11.

(Changed edition, Rev. No. 2, 3).

2.13. Completeness.

Each batch of rulers must be accompanied by a document certifying the quality of the rulers and their compliance with the requirements of this standard.

The document must contain:

Name of the manufacturer, its location (city);
