STATE STANDARD OF THE UNION OF THE SSR

By the Decree of the State Committee of Standards of the Council of Ministers of the USSR dated January 17, 1974 No. 143, the introduction period was established

from 01.01.75

Checked in 1985. By the Resolution of the State Standard of May 13, 1985 No. 1329, the validity period was extended

until 01.01.90

Non-compliance with the standard is punishable by law

This standard applies to steel tape width from 20 to 220 mm, thickness from 1.2 to 5.0 mm, obtained by hot rolling or longitudinal cutting of hot-rolled sheet steel coils.

1. ASSORTMENT

1.1. The width, thickness and weight of 1 m of the tape must correspond to those indicated in Table. one.

Table 1

Width, mm

Weight of 1 m tape, kg, with thickness, mm

Note. The cross-sectional area of the tape is calculated from the nominal dimensions. When calculating the mass of 1 m, the density of steel is assumed to be 7.85 g/cm 2 .

1.2. Limit deviations in the thickness of the tape must correspond to:

for a tape with a rolled edge - tab. 2;

table 2

for a split tape - tab. 3.

St. 1.2 to 1.4

For a strip obtained by slitting hot-rolled sheet steel (cut strip), the variation in thickness across the cross section should not exceed half the sum of the maximum thickness deviations.

1.3. Limit deviations in width must correspond to:

mm - for a tape with a rolled edge up to 60 mm wide;

% of width - for a tape with a rolled edge with a width of more than 60 mm;

2.0 mm - for cut tape

Example symbol hot-rolled strip 3.5 mm thick, 50 mm wide, made of BST2ps steel:

2. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

2.1. The tape must be made from carbon steel ordinary quality grades Bst0-Bst5 of the first or second category of all degrees of deoxidation according to GOST 380-71.

2.2. On the surface of the tape, defects are not allowed, the depth or height of which exceeds the maximum deviations in thickness. For a cut tape, burrs are allowed on the edges with a height of not more than 1 mm.

Sloping cleaning of external defects of the tape surface is allowed. The stripping width must be at least five times the depth. The stripping depth should not exceed the minus maximum deviation in the thickness of the tape.

2.3. By agreement between the manufacturer and the consumer, the ends of the tape with a rolled edge are cut off.

2.4. Telescopicity of the roll is allowed within 1/4 of the width of the tape, but not more than 50 mm.

2.5. The crescent shape (curvature in the horizontal plane) of a tape with a rolled edge should be 0.6% of the length, a split tape - is set by agreement between the manufacturer and the consumer.

3. ACCEPTANCE RULES

3.1. General rules acceptance - according to GOST 7566 -81.

3.2. For acceptance, the tape is submitted in batches. The batch must consist of strips of the same steel grade, one heat and one size. Combined batches of steel of the same brand of different heats are allowed, but not more than four.

3.3. To check the quality and dimensions, 2% of the tape is selected from the batch, but not less than two skeins.

(Revised edition, Rev. No. 1).

3.4. (Deleted, Rev. No. 1).

4. TEST METHODS

4.1. For determining chemical composition steel samples are taken according to GOST 7565-81.

The chemical composition of the cut tape is not controlled, but is indicated in the certificate according to the data of the melt analysis.

4.2. The surface of the tape is checked without the use of magnifying devices at a length of at least two turns from the end of the roll.

4.3. The tape size is checked with a micrometer or other measuring instrument at a distance of at least one turn from the end of the roll. The thickness of the tape up to 30 mm wide is measured in the middle of the width, over 30 mm - at a distance of at least 15 mm from the edge.

5. MARKING, PACKAGING, TRANSPORT AND STORAGE

5.1. Marking, packaging, transportation and storage - according to GOST 7566-81.
