Three methods of connecting to the Internet are available:

Mobile Internet, provided by the mobile operator, is available after manual or automatic configuration. There are no restrictions on movement (as is the case with Wi Fi), but the proximity to the tower affects the quality of the signal. The network access service, if there is no free traffic in the tariff plan, is paid. More often, operators provide package offers with a certain amount of traffic. At the end of non-tariffed MB, money is withdrawn from the main account, so it is recommended to set limits on traffic.

WiFi hotspot provides access to the network wirelessly through a router connected to the provider's cable. The router distributes the Internet to several devices and is more often installed at home or in public places: a cafe, bar, bank or shop. Such points rarely have limited traffic, but the coverage area does not exceed 12-15 meters. There is no setting except for entering a password.

Modem with Wi Fi module- an intermediate solution that combines wireless and mobile connectivity. The Internet is provided through a fixed or wired number, and access to the network is carried out through the Wi Fi module. This allows you to distribute the Internet between several devices: smartphone, tablet or computer. And thanks to the built-in power supply, wireless modems are able to work autonomously.

Instructions on how to connect mobile Internet

The connection is made after manual or automatic configuration. First, ask the operator about sending automatic parameters. If this is not possible, specify the data for manual settings.

Manual setting

1. Open the settings section.
2. In the "Wireless networks" section, click on the "More" item to display additional options.
3. In the new window, select "Mobile networks".
4. Then the type of network provided by the operator is 3G or 4G.
5. Next, click on Access Point (APN).
6. In the window that opens, click on the "+" button to create a new access point.
7. Next, enter the data provided by the operator. More often, you need to enter an arbitrary name of the access point and the word "internet" in the "APN" field. Don't forget to save.
8. After that, go to the main settings, the item "Data transfer", where we activate the mobile data transfer. A similar action is performed from the switch panel in the hidden notification bar.

Automatic setting

If the provider supports the distribution of automatic settings, you should contact the operator and ask to send the settings to the phone. Usually, a set with parameters comes through short messages, after which it is enough to click the "Install" button. Further algorithm of actions below:

1. Go to the settings section.
2. Open the advanced settings of the "Wireless networks" block.
3. In the mobile network section, specify the type of network.
4. In the access point (APN), select the line with the Internet of your operator.
5. Next, turn on data transfer to activate the Internet.

Go to settings, then "Mobile networks", and then open "Access Point (APN)". Create a new access point and set the settings according to your carrier. After, save the changes and select the created profile.

How to connect the Internet to the phone through a wireless router

By default, the access point name and password are listed in the documentation or on the back of the battery cover. To change the data, you should specify the address 192.168.1.1 in the browser and enter the basic login and password data to enter, if necessary. Next, go to the settings tab and change the "username" and "password".

About 20 years ago, when cellular communication was in its infancy, it was really expensive, and there were no smartphones. Now, thanks to the development of communication networks and competition among operators, mobile Internet for a month in Moscow at MTS is like a cup of coffee, and as a load you will receive impressive SMS packages and minutes for calls for free and monthly. As for the Internet, then you will have at least 2 GB for a month.

What is 2 GB? Is it a lot or a little?
